“For what it’s worth, it’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start all over again.”

Writing and design are my greatest passions and raising my son, Brayden Thomas, is my greatest joy.
Journalism and photography allow me to meet people, learn their stories, and in the process possibly also share mine.
I graduated with a degree in interior design just weeks before my husband and I welcome our son Brayden Thomas into our lives. After college I had the privilege of dedicating myself full time to raising him, but still continued to explore design through various avenues, specifically photography.
Writing and photography have been healing in the loss of my sweet Tommy, who was just a week from coming home from his fifth deployment when he was killed in action—serving with 2nd Ranger Battalion from Fort Lewis, Wash. I'm thankful for the healing writing and photography have provided. I'm able to tell others stories through my words and lens, but each person also becomes a part of mine.
I currently live in Orange County with our sweet son Brayden Thomas and our amazing family.
